A native of New Jersey, Rashaun Hall has been an entertainment journalist and cultural critic, primarily covering urban and hip-hop culture, since 1999. He was most recently the Director of Editorial Strategy for Moguldom Media Group — home to Bossip.com. There he oversaw the brand’s entire editorial portfolio (six sites) that received four million unique visitors and 50 million pageviews monthly.
Prior to helming Moguldom’s editorial department, Hall served as the Online Editor for the upscale urban lifestyle title GIANT magazine. There, he managed the magazine’s online content and penned the site’s music blog, Beats & Bars.
He has also held staff positions at Billboard Magazine, MTV News, The Source Magazine and SOHH.com. Additionally, Hall has written for other magazines including Interview, Essence, Vibe and Complex magazines and has served as an authority on pop culture for a host of media outlets including The New York Times, USA Today, The New York Post, New York Daily News, CNNfn, Details and Newsweek.
