Last week, I posted “Healing Hands,” a new track from Citizen Cope’s forthcoming The RainWater LP. Now, the good folks over at Okayplayer posted a video for the BK singer/songwriter’s “I Couldn’t Explain Why.” Watch it here.

Praying for Guru
March 1st, 2010 · All Things Twittered, Music To My Ears
Hearing about Guru of Gangstarr’s current health condition immediately made me think about the first time I unintentionally met the legendary Boston MC.
Nikki & Rich x Highline Ballroom
February 24th, 2010 · Music To My Ears
I had the pleasure of checking out new Warner Bros act Nikki & Rich a few weeks ago and I was not disappointed. I guess I should also explain that I rarely have the desire to go to shows anymore so the fact that I actually went (based solely on the fact that I loved their EPK — check it below) AND enjoyed the show is saying something.

The first single is murky yet funky “Healing Hands” (listen below). You can thank me later.

Say It Isn't So, Little Bro?
January 27th, 2010 · Music To My Ears
So, I got a good news/bad news email today (or was it yesterday?). The good news is Little Brother is dropping their new album, Left Back, on April 20th… (waiting for applause to die down). The bad news is…
